Director of Coaching, Position Coach Specialist

Ben Bodipo-Memba has earned the highest distinctions in volleyball both as a player and as a coach. Ben coached 19 seasons in Division 1 Collegiate Volleyball, earning a 365-255 record of 58%. Ben was an assistant volleyball coach at UC Berkeley, the past 4 seasons, and previously also coached at UC Irvine, Georgia Tech, and Western Carolina University. He helped lead those teams to numerous NCAA tournament berths, including an “Elite Eight” appearance. In these assistant coach roles he has been in charge of recruitment, individual player development - including close to 20 NCAA All-Americans, student-athlete support, and a host of other coaching areas. Ben played for San Diego State University and was a member of the USA Men’s National Volleyball Team from 1993-1995, playing professionally at the highest national and international competitive levels. He has coached for USA National Team and Collegiate National teams as well as in the USAV High Performance pipeline. Ben is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), and has served on several of their committees as a coach representative. Ben also serves as a mentor in the AVCA Coaches Mentoring program and spent six years representing the ACC on the AVCA Assistant Coaches Committee. 

Ben joins Marin Juniors as Director of Coaching to lead player and coach development and assist with college recruiting.
