Lisa is currently the head coach for women's volleyball at College of Marin. She believers the sport of volleyball provides a great opportunity to empower young women and set them up for future success. 

A San Jose native, Gera attended Archbishop Mitty High School and played for City Beach Club in Santa Clara and Vision Volleyball Club in Los Gatos. She went on to Fresno State where she was ranked 9th in digs (935) and 11th all-time in sets played (391). 

In 2014, Lisa became the lead assistant for the women’s indoor team at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) and the same year she started the SBCC women's beach volleyball team. She coached both indoor and beach for four years, leading the Vaqueros to four consecutive Western State Conference Championships while she was there. 

Here are some of Lisa's playing and coaching highlights:

  • Held a Triple AAA ranking 2012-present
  • Won the CBVA AAA tournament April 2014
  • Won the CBVA AA tournament in March of 2013
  • 3rd place finish in the Santa Monica Open (2013 and 2015)
  • SBCC Western State Conference Champion (2013 - 2016)
  • Head Beach Volleyball Coach, Santa Barbara City College (2014-2016)
  • Laguna Blanca High School Beach Volleyball Varsity Coach (2016)

Lisa leads the Marin Juniors beach program, is a head coach for indoor, and a defensive Position Coach Specialist. When she's not on the court - in the gym or on the beach - you will find Lisa studying for her Masters in Exercise Science.
