Mu has coached Marin Juniors' club teams since 2008, having guided 18s team to Junior National and two teams to top-three finishes at the NCVA Far Westerns National Qualifier, and one team to a top 10 finish at the 2011 Las Vegas SoCal Invitational. In addition to being a head coach, Mu has led position training and managed operations for the club over the years. Mu has an open and direct coaching style and is a strong communicator. She is dedicated to helping players improve. 

Mu coaches the woman's volleyball team at Dominican University of California, an NCAA Division II school. "I love the dedication and commitment that the collegiate players put in both athletically and academically."  Prior to coaching at Dominican, Mu coached the varsity team at Novato High School, where she led the 2012 team to the first NCS playoff win in school history. She holds several certifications, including USA Volleyball - Northern California High Performance, Gold Medal Squared (levels I & II), Positive Coaching Alliance, NFHS, USA Volleyball IMPACT, CAP I & II, and CAP III candidate.

Mu graduated from the University of Oregon, School of Architecture. As a native of Taiwan, she grew up playing basketball and at the age of 16, made the switch to volleyball. She is a life-long student of the game, and has dedicated most of her free time to the sport.
